Upper
Cape Cod Regional Technical School has evolved during the
course of our short, 37-year history into a desirable high
school option for the students of Bourne, Falmouth, Marion,
Sandwich, and Wareham. Our Career and Technical curriculum
prepares our students for either a career, entry into higher
education, or service to our country in the military.
Our renewable energy curriculum is viewed by the Department
of Education as a model for other schools in the Commonwealth.
We now have a working wind turbine, photovoltaic solar panels,
as well as solar thermal installations. Students are producing
biodiesel fuel from waste products generated by our culinary
arts department. Students have the opportunity to learn the
theory of these renewable energy processes and then practice
the application on the actual equipment used in the industry
today. All of our technical areas utilize up to date equipment
and materials in order to prepare our students for the careers
of today.
Our graduates continue to be an integral part of our school
community, serving on our Advisory Board, our School Committee,
and as faculty members. We are very proud of the contribution
that many of our graduates make to their communities. We are
currently working to provide our graduates with an active
alumni association where they can show their pride in their
school and help future graduates.
Education is a life-long activity and Upper Cape Tech is working
on additional programming for our day and evening classes
and our summer offerings as well. Please visit us to learn
first hand of the opportunities that an Upper Cape Tech education
can provide.
