Marine Technology
	The Marine Technology program is designed to provide students with technical knowledge and experience in the rapidly expanding marine industry.  Technical concepts in the curriculum include: Marine Safety Practices Theory and Operation of Marine Gas and Diesel Engines Two and Four-Stroke Cycle Engines Diagnosis, Repair and Overhaul of Marine Propulsion Systems Marine Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Electronic Ignition Systems Coast Guard and American Boat Yacht Council Regulations Power Tools, Gas and Arc Welding Equipment Use of Precision Measuring Instruments Installation and Repair of On-Board Support Systems, Electrical, Hydraulic, Water, Steering, and Electronics Techniques of Fiberglass and Wood Hull Repair Customer Relations A large, well equipped shop features the latest tools, shop demonstrators, updated ventilation and state-of-the-art prep station for fiberglass repair.  There is also a heavy duty hydraulic trailer, a Kubota tow vehicle, lifting and support equipment, and a separate three-bay garage for boats awaiting repair.
