Massachusetts Tech Prep
Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School participates in Massachusetts
Tech Prep, a federally funded program that combines high academic standards,
career exploration, and workplace experience.
One of the key components of Tech Prep is to provide articulated course
agreements between member high schools and colleges. Students graduating
with grades of Bs or better in articulated Tech Prep courses are eligible
for college credit for the work completed in the junior and senior year
of high school.
Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School offers articulations in the
following areas with Cape Cod Community College:
· Business Management
· Construction Technology
· Culinary Arts
· Environmental Technology
· Information Technology
· Health Careers
Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School offers articulations in the
following areas with Bristol Community College:
· Health Careers
· Culinary Arts
Tech Prep provides a number of additional services to students, including:
· Free application to Cape Cod Community College
· Early college placement tests
· Field trips
Students are introduced to Tech Prep in both shop and academic classes.
All students are eligible to enroll in the program, regardless of whether
their shop has an articulated agreement.
