Culinary Arts

Students are trained in all aspects of food preparation, baking, dining room service and basic restaurant management through the operation of a popular on-site restaurant.  Culinary students also receive experience catering a wide variety of community functions.

The shop area consists of a dining room that seats up to seventy, an academic classroom, a large cooking/baking area and complete storage areas for frozen, cold and dry goods.  This facility is equipped with state-of-the-art cooking and service equipment.

Career Highlights

The Culinary Arts program prepares students for entry level positions in the food industry as well as for continued education in hospitality, culinary arts and hotel and restaurant management.  Post secondary technical certificates and degree programs are available in Hotel Restaurant Management and Technology.
