Cosmetology
The Cosmetology program prepares students to become licensed professional Cosmetologists. Areas of instruction include; styling, shaping and coloring hair; the use of makeup, proper skin care and manicuring.
The Cosmetology laboratory is an active, on site clinic consisting of twenty-five stations and a modern manicuring center.
Career Highlights
Upon completing 1,000 hours of instruction in the Cosmetology laboratory, students are prepared to take the state licensing examination in Cosmetology. There are more than forty-five careers open to the licensed cosmetologist. In the salon area, positions exist from private school instructor to state board inspector. Post secondary degree programs are available in Cosmetology Management and Teacher Training.
