The Masonry students gain
experience working with a variety of masonry media such as brick,
block, stone, tile, concrete and veneer. The masonry program
is designed to instruct students in all aspects of masonry construction
from site preparation to foundation systems. Students design
and build full-scale models of fireplaces and chimneys. Following
building specifications and reading blueprints are essential
parts of the curriculum. Students develop skills at off-campus
building sites in local communities.

- Brick and block laying
- Chimney and fireplace construction
- Cutting and laying of stone masonry
- Footing, slab and form installation
- Glazed tile and brick installation
- Hearth and fireplace design
- Plastering/Stucco
