All Star Basketball
The Cape Cod High School All Star Basketball Games will be held at Hyannis Youth and Community Center on Sunday, March 19th. The girls will play at 1:15, and the boys at 4 p.m.
Beginning Monday, the security gate by the sports fields will be closed at 2:20 p.m., and the gate by Autobody will be closed at 4:00 p.m. Please make sure your vehicle is removed prior to these times.
Reminder to all Spring Athletes that you must be signed up on FamilyID and have an up to date physical to participate and tryout on Monday. If you have any questions please see your coach or Mr. Hernon.
All baseball players trying out Monday please bring appropriate clothing and footwear and plan to be outside. In the event tryouts cannot be held outdoors please have sneakers for the gym.
Baseball/Softball tryout schedule for Monday, March 20th, if indoors:
- Baseball 2:20-4 - 9th/10th graders
- Baseball 4-5:30 - 11th/12th grade
- Softball 5:30-7 - 9th/10th grade
- Softball 7-8:30 - 11th/12th grade
A reminder to those playing boys and girls trying out for lacrosse to dress appropriately on Monday because you will be practicing outside.
The Winter Sports Banquet will be held Wednesday, March 22nd at 6 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Admission will be $3 for adults and $1 for children. All student athletes get in for free. Please see Mr. Hernon if you have any questions.
Class of 2020 Elections
Attention Freshmen: The names of the nominees for Class Officers has been posted on the Class of 2020 website. The ballots will be available on Monday, March 20th, and voting will end on Friday, March 24th. Please check your class website for this information.
Do you want to help improve safety at Upper Cape? There is still time to enter the Health and Safety Committee’s Safety Raffle. Safety suggestion slips will be distributed to each shop for students to submit any suggestions they may have to enhance the safety of our school. You can submit your suggestions in the ballot box found in the Environmental Shop up through March 24th. For every suggestion given, your name will be entered in a raffle to win a free lunch at the Canalside Restaurant with a guest of your choice. For any questions, please see Sydni Buford, Christine Destefano, or Tatyana Foskey in the Environmental Shop.
Class Ring Presentation
Attention Sophomores: On Monday, March 27th at 1:50 p.m. in the cafeteria, there will be a presentation to discuss ring orders for the Class of 2019.
Students owing Term 2 Pathway hours have until March 31st to complete your obligation. If you have any questions about Pathways, please visit the Dean of Students’ Office.
There will be an April Accelerated Driver's Education Class from April 18th to the 22nd, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. A Parent/Guardian will be required to attend a mandatory class on Wednesday, April 19th from 6 to 8 p.m. To register please contact the Adult Education Office at 508-759-7711, ext. 211.
Any student wishing to be part of the tech crew for the Canalside Players' production of Willy Wonka Jr. should sign up on the sheet on Mr. Genereau's door in Room 192. Tech crew consists of lights, sound, set design, costuming, and other technical aspects of the show. We look forward to having you on board!
The Art Club will meet Tuesday, March 21st in the library to create the display. Also, the Pops by the Sea T-Shirt Design Contest ends March 31st, and submissions for the ZO Magazine contest have begun. Please see Mrs. O’Donnell with any question you have on these various art opportunities.
